Your shoes will rest on it. But it also, protect your exposed brake master cylinder. This part from MyTech is more extended to include the lower part of the master cylinder, which is more what you get from other comparable parts in the market. Made from anodized 3 mm aluminum plate makes it very strong and lightweight.
